Umutumba – Steeped
Harvested by the Long Miles Coffee Project in northwestern Burundi—at 1,700 m elevation—Umutumba Steeped features washed Arabica micro-lots grown under agroforestry systems. Heirloom varietals are fermented, washed and dried on raised beds before being craft-milled and sealed in nitrogen-flushed 15 g bags for consistent, café-quality steeped extraction.

Brewing unveils delicate black-tea notes, dried-apricot sweetness and subtle brown sugar molasses. Floral hints of chamomile and bergamot enhance a clean, tea-like body that showcases Burundi’s specialty coffee craftsmanship. This format streamlines brewing for home or café use while ensuring origin transparency and premium flavor.

Hot Steep Recommendation:
Infuse one 15 g bag in 200 ml water at 94 °C for 3 minutes, then stir gently.

Aeropress Concentrate Recipe:
Inverted Aeropress with one bag and 60 ml water at 92 °C. Steep 2 minutes, then press for an intense, tea-like espresso alternative.
