Kamavindi Giakanja AB Washed is a Kenyan filter coffee from The Espresso Lab, sourced through the Giakanja washing station in Nyeri and graded AB for uniform, carefully sorted beans. The washed process keeps the cup clean and bright, the way Kenyan coffee is meant to taste.

Expect a juicy, vibrant cup with cranberry, green apple and caramel: crisp fruit acidity up front and a sweet, rounded finish. Roasted for filter brewing, it shines as a V60, Chemex or AeroPress and makes a lively batch brew.

Kenya's Nyeri county sits on the slopes of Mount Kenya, where high altitude and rich volcanic soil produce some of the most sought-after washed coffees in the world. The Giakanja washing station collects cherry from hundreds of smallholder farmers in the area, then ferments and washes it before drying on raised beds.

The AB grade refers to bean size, screens 15 to 16, and is the classic Kenyan grade for a clean, complex cup. The Espresso Lab roasts this lot for filter to keep its crisp cranberry and green-apple acidity and caramel sweetness intact.
