Start with 15-20ml per drink (about 1 pump or 1 tablespoon). Proper Syrups are less sweet than commercial alternatives, so you may need slightly more than you're used to. For latte-style drinks, add the syrup to the cup first, then pour espresso, then steamed milk. For iced drinks, dissolve the syrup in the hot espresso first before adding ice and cold milk — otherwise the syrup settles at the bottom of the glass.

Proper Syrup keeps for 3-6 months after opening when stored refrigerated. Because Proper Syrups use real ingredients without artificial preservatives, they have shorter post-opening shelf life than commercial alternatives — but they're at peak flavour right after opening and remain great-tasting throughout the recommended window. Always store in the fridge after opening and keep the bottle tightly sealed.
